How to Monitor Wardrobes and Lockers With Smart Sensors
Use opening sensors to check storage without a camera inside.
Choose the storage you want to watch
A wardrobe or document cabinet may be far from the main door and its sensors. A separate opening sensor can help you know when that storage is used. Talk to the people who share the space first. Choose useful areas to watch and agree who should receive any phone updates.
Check the fit and signal
Metal can affect a wireless signal. Do not assume a sensor will work inside every locker. We check the surface, space and door movement, then test the connection with the storage open and closed. If a position is not suitable, we explain that before recommending a setup for your home.
Choose what happens after an opening
A phone alert may be enough. Some setups also let a suitable alarm or light respond. Think about when family members need normal access and how they will turn alerts on or off. An opening sensor does not need a camera inside the wardrobe, so it can avoid recording private belongings.
Know the limits
A sensor does not make a locker stronger or improve its physical lock. It gives you an opening update where the setup supports it. Ask us to show the alert and explain its connection needs.
